HR Professional

HR Professional is the largest magazine for human resources professionals in Canada with a subscription base of more than 18,000 and a pass-along readership of twice that number.

The magazine reports on the latest workplace news and offers in-depth analysis on the most cutting-edge developments in people management, HR law and strategy. Articles are written by accomplished journalists and leaders in the field and often used for research and reference.

HR Professional readers know their human resources management fundamentals and actively contribute to the success of their organizations. All columns should offer HR professionals a concrete idea or process that they can implement either in their workplace or within themselves. Features must be well-researched and well-sourced and examine topical and strategic HR issues.

Content Guidelines

Submitting Queries

Do not send a complete article. Please send your query to the editor, lblake@naylor.com. The query should include two or three paragraphs that describe:

Theme: Be specific. We will not assign a story on “leadership” but we might use an article on a new form of leadership or a case study on leadership within a certain company.
Evidence: Please provide how you will prove your theme. For example, interviews with experts, a case study, numbers and statistics and quotes from cutting-edge research, books or topical studies.
Section: Identify the magazine section subhead, for example, “Strategy” or “Talent Management.”

NOTE REGARDING BOOK REVIEWS: HR Professional does review selected books that we feel our readers would find interesting. However, please do not forward books to us. Instead, we encourage you to send pertinent press releases to lblake@naylor.com and we will contact those whose books we wish to review.

Originality

We accept only original submissions. Do not pitch previously published material (Internet distribution included). Our annual Editorial Calendar can be found by clicking the link at the top of this page or in our Media Kit, under the Advertising tab.
